Law school, the bar, the swearing-in. All of it, for one word on the desk.
On the desk beside the monitor, it settles what to call you before the client, the clerk or the new hire has to ask. Transparent acrylic, one face carrying the title in full color, the piece cut around the letters.
Once the bar results post, this goes to the newly admitted friend who now gets called Counselor by judges, opposing counsel and relatives who want a favor.
